Season 5 begins airing on Thursday, December 18, with Mindy and Alfie (Lucien Lavisconte) establishes a bond, and they initially keep it a secret from Emily (Lily Collins). However, Parker, 34, is excited to see how the hit Netflix series handles the complex dynamics between its characters.
“We definitely see Emily and Mindy in different situations. I think it’s the first time that their friendship is divorced from the way Lily and I interact,” Parker said of the friends’ bickering. Parker is promoting her partnership with Planet Oat to celebrate the brand’s newest white chocolate raspberry oat creamer.
The actress noted that Mindy and Emily often mirrored how close she and Collins were in real life.
“But I’m so proud of both women on the show. We see a true sisterhood and their relationship becomes even stronger,” Parker continued. “But I would say Emily in Paris always surprises me.”
According to Parker, she “didn’t see” Mindy’s storyline.
“I feel like I got to blend eight different types of shows into one,” she gushed. “What more can you ask for? I never know what’s going to happen. So I don’t really look forward to it anymore. It feels like a nervous moment for me. So they’re really keeping us on our toes.”

Season five may have started with Mindy and Alfie’s chemistry, but ended with a surprising proposal. After calling it all off, Mindy gets back together with ex Nicholas (Paul Foreman), proposed to her during a trip to Venice. Mindy accepts the offer, but her feelings for Alfie seem to leave her conflicted about her future.
“Five years into our upcoming fifth season [since the show debuted]”, Park teased us in an interview last month. “Lily and I were just talking about this the other day. We’ve known each other for five years and it’s funny how in a few days you can play a character but six months to a year you grow as a person [between seasons]”.
Parker gushed about getting to work emily in parisSaid: “This show has completely changed my life, both in terms of the paths I’ve been involved in and the conversations I’ve had. Because Netflix is global, I can have conversations with people all over the world. I’m so grateful.”
To celebrate the show’s fifth season, Park has teamed up with Planet Oat to launch a limited-edition creamer to express her love for the show. Inspired by Emily in Paris, the new Planet Oat White Chocolate Raspberry Oat Creamer is infused with creamy white chocolate and bright tart raspberry flavours.
“I’m a huge white chocolate lover and a raspberry lover. I think my love for raspberries really came to fruition when I first went to Paris. They have the best berries,” Parker said. “Those berries are next level. I also love Planet Oats.”
In conjunction with the release of Season 5, Planet Oat will appear on the 4th floor of L’Appartement in Brooklyn, highlighting its new White Chocolate Raspberry Creamer. Guests will enjoy an exclusive signature menu including Raspberet Latte and Raspberet Croissant, inspired by the range’s Parisian scenes and crafted to highlight the new creamer.
As a fan of oat milk, Park welcomed the opportunity to up her coffee game.
“As a singer, I’ve always loved non-dairy milk. Planet Oat has all these flavors, and what I love most about these creamers is that it makes my coffee taste better. Because I used to drink coffee black, and then I discovered oat creamer,” she added. “I was like, ‘Oh, this tastes really good.'”
Planet Oat’s White Chocolate Raspberry Oat Creamer will be available in stores on Thursday, December 18, as Emily returns to Paris.
