Ernie Els offers Tiger Woods an easy championship journey challenge

Paul Azinger believes he is obliged to do so. Bernhard Langer was happy to compete with him once he was qualified.

But, on December 50 this year, Tiger Woods, who turns 50, can compete on the PGA Tour once he is eligible?

Ernie Els has easy information for joining the Senior Tour 15 major championships.

Asked about Woods’ groundbreaking championship journey at the ELS Center of Excellence in Jupiter, Florida, Elles said: “If you can, beat us again…if you can.”

“I’ve said, come and play. I think it will only be good for him,” Els said through the Palm Beach Post. “He’ll be in golf. You can ride without shame, and if there’s someone who should be able to drive, it’s him.

Woods did not start the PGA Tour in 2025 after undergoing surgery to repair ruptured Achilles in March. The 49-year-old Woods cheered it on during the TGL season but hasn’t started the PGA Tour since he missed the 2024 Open champion layoffs.

Back in January, Azinger said he believed Woods would score it on the senior tour to pay back what the PGA Tour gave him.

“I think tigers may even be obliged to be on this tour,” Ashinger said. “In the past few years, this tour has given tigers a lot of money.

Lange has won 47 professional victories in the Championship Tour. The two-time Masters champion doesn’t think Woods will choose to compete on the advanced track at some point.

“It would be exciting to see the Tiger come out for the Championship Tour, and I firmly believe he will play a few. It depends on how many.” Lange said in January.

Langer and his son Jason played with the Tigers and Charlie Woods in the PNC Championship last December and beat them in the playoffs to win the game. Langer and Tiger have gained something from participating in the parent-child exhibition. He did not participate in the competition.

“Tiger still loves the game. He’s still very competitive, he loves watching his son get better and better in the game, Charlie loves it, so I think he’ll stick with it.”

While it is not clear when and if he will play on the Senior Tour, a legendary golfer believes that if he does, the story will be the same as when he played Els and Co. on the PGA Tour.

“I think the Tiger will be on the senior tour. He will be able to get in the car and he will definitely kill everyone,” Jack Nicklaus said on Golf Channel’s Golf Central in 2024.
