There was nothing like the brand new VHS in New York City in 1997. John Carpenter’s 1981 classic Escape from New York Snake Plissken, who saw Kurt Russell, fall into the near-unthinkable New York City, is tasked with saving the president. Most of us may first watch movies in old school formats, which happens to be common when reality catches up with movies. Now, about 30 years later, Escape from New York Back to VHS, it’s amazing.
On Thursday, May 15, Deputy Press will release two new VHS versions Escape from New York. One of them is a 1,000-piece limited edition box that contains brand new artwork from Phantom City Creative and features specially designed tapes. Then there is a collector’s edition, on one side is the original drama poster, and Matt Ferguson’s recent work.
Yes, VHS is actually playing. However, for people in the United States, unfortunately, this is the PAL format in the United Kingdom. So if you want something new to Snake, not VHS, then VICE also has that brand new Phantom City creative poster falling down on its own. Both conventional and variants of 24 x 36-inch lithographs, each in 250 edition.
Finally, if you love Escape from New York But it’s actually only attracted by the iconic original image of Barry E. Jackson, and the deputy media also worked with Matt Ferguson to fully recover and release. This is a 27 x 40 stone print from the limited edition 250. This is an iconic image.
All of this will be available on the Vice Press on Thursday, May 15 at 2 p.m. ET (6 p.m. GMT). Both versions of the VHS are £30, with the poster ranging from £40 to £50.
