Felix Auger-Aliassime reached his fourth ATP Tour final of the season at the Fortis European Open in Paris, France on Saturday and ended Belgian wildcard Raphael Collignon’s losing streak in Brussels.

The Canadian was solid in the 7-6(2), 6-4 win and now has 40 tour-level wins in 2025. Auger-Aliassime’s best year came in 2022, when he racked up 60 wins and qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals.

The 25-year-old is aiming to return to the prestigious end-of-year tournament this season and his appearance in Brussels has left his hopes even slimmer. Auger-Aliassime is ranked ninth at the PIF ATP Live Event in Turin with 3,070 points, 415 points behind eighth-placed Lorenzo Musetti. The Italian currently occupies the final qualifying spot.

Auger-Aliassime silenced the loud Belgian fans and ended Collignon’s resistance with a powerful strike from both wings. On Sunday, he will compete for his eighth tour-level title and third of the season.

“I have a great opponent in front of me who is inspired by his home match,” said Auger-Aliassime, the 2022 ATP 250 champion in Antwerp. “I know this is probably going to be the toughest challenge so far this week. He’s been playing really well over the past few weeks and months. It’s been a really fun, high-intensity game. It’s great to be a part of it and we have another game tomorrow this week.”

Auger-Aliassime will face Jiri Lehka in the championship game. The Czech defeated France’s Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 7-6(3), 7-6(7) in one hour and 32 minutes to advance to the championship match of the ATP 250 event for the second consecutive year.

“It’s always difficult to prepare for these types of matches,” Lehka said when asked about the match against Mpetshi Perricard. “You have to be 100 percent focused on every point because you don’t know what’s going to happen next. His serve is very good. The most important thing for me is to focus on my serve and wait for my chance.”

Entering his sixth tour final and third of the season, Lehka is aiming to capture his third title. The 23-year-old has lifted the trophy on hard courts in Adelaide and Brisbane, winning 15 of his last 16 matches against players outside the top 20 of the PIF ATP rankings.
