Fintech Company Fiserv has expanded its point-of-sale (POS) system and software platform Clover to Australia, providing an integrated, simplified operational solution for small and medium-sized businesses.
The release said the expansion established the presence of Clover in 11 countries and supported 3.5 million devices worldwide.
Clover’s proprietary hardware and software are combined to replace “decentralized” payment terminals and non-integrated services.
The system is tailor-made for the hotel, service and retail sectors.
The platform integrates with professional solutions to facilitate tasks such as online ordering, accounting, inventory management and employee management.
With the Clover Network Dashboard, business owners can monitor sales, manage customer information for promotions and evaluate employee performance.
The company plans to expand its platform with new applications, automation capabilities, various payment options and hardware.
There are currently four clover models in Australia – clover elasticity, clover mini, station duo and clover hut.
Commenting on how solutions can help businesses, Gavin Jones, Australia’s country manager, said: “Small businesses in Australia, especially small businesses in the retail and hospitality sectors, are essential to the economy.

The expansion comes after Fiserv acquires Dutch payment technology provider CCV, which enables the company to expand Clover’s coverage and serve a wider range of merchants and partners.
