Fox reported “good news” for Donald Trump…but then immediately issued an alarm
Fox News’ John Roberts on Wednesday expressed signs of optimism about a new inflation report, and has since quickly added information about the missed.
Roberts noted that “surprising news”, title inflation “dropped to 2.8% year-on-year” and “core inflation was 3.1%”.
“This is good news from anyone’s book,” he declared.
Roberts’ colleague Hume UK agreed: “Yes, but it’s not a huge drop, but I think it’s important to people.”
“The main thing is that, while the fact that the Biden administration started has disappeared, it wasn’t an increase at the moment when inflation had been very long,” Hume said. “So, obviously, any good news in this regard is welcome. We’ll see how it performs in the coming weeks.”
However, Roberts then acted cautiously with what might have happened.
“But there might be a ticking time bomb out there because there are no tariffs in February,” he noted.
“They are all starting to take effect now,” he said, saying the EU and Canada are now pursuing retaliation against Trump, the former “specially targeting attempts to hit the president” and were injured in a Republican-controlled country.
