One lucky gambler turned a small change into more than $84,000 while playing slot machines at a popular Tampa, Florida, casino.
“We have a winner!!” Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa wrote on Facebook on October 8: “This lucky guest placed a $0.88 bet on this Jade Wind machine and won $84,758.24.”
In the comments, other punters and onlookers congratulated the stranger on his good luck, with some joking about helping them win.
“Congratulations to the winner. Nice to see people winning on small bets,” one user wrote, while another quipped, “Good for the winner! I had a lot to contribute to this while I was there on Monday.”
While the lucky gambler wins big, Hard Rock Seminole assures visitors there’s still a chance to test their luck. In fact, according to an Oct. 8 press release, the casino’s 28 connected progressive slot machines have surpassed $2 million in jackpots and continue to “climb at a rate of $4,600 or more per day.”

Since its launch in the casino in July 2021, Dragon Link has been a top draw for players. This includes a minimum bet of $25 and a maximum bet of $2,500. According to Aristocrat Gaming, the current record for the single-site Link progressive Dragon Link slot is $2.8 million.
