Germany establishes new military division for the Ministry of Homeland Security

The German military or German troops established a new Ministry of Homeland Security on Friday in light of the Russian full invasion of Ukraine.

This department is the fourth major organization of the military.

Department of Homeland Security soldiers aim to protect infrastructure, ensure the deployment of allied forces and provide assistance in the event of disasters.

The division initially included five regiments – about 6,000 soldiers. The Sixth Homeland Security Corps will be established on April 1.

So far, Germany’s Homeland Security Forces have been led by the state command.
