Kentucky transport cabinet announces laneways and ramps on Gene Snyder Highway

The Kentucky transport cabinet is urging motorists to close lanes and ramps on the Genes De Snyder Expressway starting August 22.

According to a press release, the right lane of Interstate 265 east of Barrstown Road Bridge will be closed from 7 p.m. on August 22 to 5:00 a.m. on August 25.

The ramps south from Bardstown Road to I-265 will also be closed.

Officials said the weekend closure was “a necessary condition for contract personnel to carry out maintenance of I-265 East Bridge on Barrstown Road”.

“Motors should be careful about signage, act cautiously and expect travel delays,” officials said.
