Google’s Find My Devices app can now display the live location of your contacts

Google has added a People tab to the Find My Devices update, showing the contacts that share their location with you (and vice versa), now available for Android users. The company announced the feature earlier this month, while pixels dropped in March and launched this week. 9to5google. With the update, you can now see the live location of your approved contact on the map, with the address of its current location above the list, its distance from you, and how long it has been since the last refresh since that information was last refreshed.

While Google Maps has let users manage location sharing and track trusted contacts, Finding My Device Updates makes all this information easier to find and has a simpler presentation. In the People tab, you can choose to view the contacts you share with and the contacts you share with. You can also use the Tab in the upper right corner to change your location sharing settings from the app at any time. The update comes nearly a year after Google first launched Find My Device and brought the service to Apple’s Find My App.
