Gozney Tread Pizza Oven Review: Gorgeous and Compact

Called “The World’s Most Portable Pizza Oven”, the Gozney Tread is an adventurous, sturdy gas-powered beauty. It is the smallest in the impressive Gozney series and the second most affordable after the second Roccbox. It joins the ever-evolving home pizza oven option, which changes our ability to cook the right pizza – everything we talk about from Naples, Chicago style, New York and Sicilians is from the comfort of the backyard.

With the tread, Gozny wants us to bring our sourdough calzone on the tour. Sizes 16.5″ x 19.1″ x 12.6″, it is compact for a completely unique pizza oven, while two large handles make it easier to move (cleaner) than most people. The pure gas design can reach a Fahrenheit (500 Celsius) (500 Celsius) (500 Celsius) and has a 12-inch 12-inch pie.

It can compete with the best pizza oven available, and 29.7 pounds, is it really carry around? It took me weeks to find out about carbs and torso loads.

Portable? Really?

For all the gorgeous marketing images on the tread in deserts, mountains and remote areas, it is worth noting that my review unit arrives at a full-size wooden pallet. Gorzny did offer me all the extra extras possible, but it was still an eye-opening gear because it was not only portable, but also “the most portable pizza oven in the world”.

The 29.7 pounds are roughly the same as an SUV tire or a typical three-year-old. Although it is not as heavy as the back, no one wants to spend such a long time carrying something so embarrassing.

The pizza oven is an impressive compact unit, and if you’re an outdoor tail, that’s the idea of wilderness is parking, but once you’ve considered the gas tank (they recommend using a 5-11kg tank), a tripod stand, a pizza stand, a pizza stand, and all the other pizza that keeps pizza away from home, let the realistic logistics start.

Looking at the race, the Ooni Koda 12 (8/10, wired recommendation) is much lighter than the 20.4-pound tread, but also larger, but at 24.4 x 15.5 x 11.7 inches. When you realize that review editor Adrienne’s comments, weight is a weight consideration.

The Ooni’s carry cover is also much cheaper than the risk bag on the tread ($99), and the oven comes with legs so you don’t have to stand up. However, if you are heading anywhere on uneven ground, the Gozney Stand is more versatile (more on that later).
