Hamas – The ruling authorities say more than 50,000 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza war.

Hamas-controlled health authorities said on Sunday that the number of Palestinians had exceeded 50,000 during the Gaza war.

These numbers cannot be verified independently, and these numbers cannot distinguish between warriors and civilians.

However, international organizations like the United Nations believe they are largely credible.

The conflict was triggered by the attacks on Israel by Palestinian militant group Hamas and Allied extremist groups on October 7, 2023.

In the Gaza Strip, about 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 Israelis were taken hostage.

A six-week ceasefire took effect in January, but Israel resumed the attack this week, with hundreds of Palestinians killed since.

About 30 people were killed in a fresh Israeli attack in southern Gaza, according to a media report on Sunday.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported various attacks in the Rafa and Khan Yunis areas, including drone strikes. Among other things, residential buildings and vehicles were attacked.

The Israeli military had previously warned residents of the Tar Suldan area of Rafah that the military would “launch an attack on terrorist organizations.”

Residents are asked to escape from the combat zone. Videos are popular on social media, people fleeing Rafa, some of whom are heavy and have kids.
