Ukraine’s allies promised Friday that the country continues to be attacked by Russia, worth 21 billion euros ($23.8 billion), as British Defense Minister John Healey announced.
Acting German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said: “I am deeply impressed and grateful for the announcement and commitment of the support package of partners around the world.”
British and German ministers co-chaired an international conference to coordinate further military aid from Ukraine at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
“This year will definitely have an impact on the battlefield,” Pistorius said.
“In the near future, peace in Ukraine seems out of reach,” he said. “We will ensure that Ukraine continues to benefit from our joint military support. Russia needs to understand that Ukraine can continue to fight and we will support it.”
