Hope the injured climber falls off after 12 days of falling off the cold mountain.

Hope faded away and an injured climber was trapped on a mountain in Kyrgyzstan, 12 days after he had to terminate rescue work due to bad weather.

Natalia Nagovitsyna broke her leg on August 12 and landed from the top of Jengish Chokusu (or on the Kyrgyzstan-China border).

A spokesman for the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency told CNN that in a message, experienced climbers have been trapped on the mountain despite repeated rescue efforts, which has also taken away the life of another climber.

Russian and Italian media reported that a group of climbers managed to reach Nagovitina after being injured. Although they were able to provide her with some supplies, they were unable to evacuate her due to the extreme circumstances on the mountain at that time.

Italian climber Luca Sinigaglia, one of the climbers trying to save Nagovitsyna, died on August 15, a statement from the Italian Foreign Ministry said. The ministry said that so far, bad weather conditions have made it impossible to recover.

A surveillance drone last discovered Nagovitsyna on a ridge not far from the top of the mountain on August 19. A spokesman declined to comment on whether the ministry believes that Nagovitsyna is still alive.

But weather conditions, including heavy snow, worsened, which meant searches for Nagovetina were suspended on Saturday, a spokesman said.

Victory Peak is the highest peak in the Tianshan Mountains, at an altitude of 24,400 feet (7,439 meters).

This is considered an extremely difficult mountain to climb, partly because of its location. With the word on the northernmost mountain at 7,000 meters, Victory Peak is known for its unusually cold, harsh conditions and a short climbing season.

The mountain is considered one of the so-called Snow Leopard Mountains, which are five 7,000 peaks in the former Soviet Union. Climbing all five is considered a major achievement, with only about 700 people (including 30 women) doing so.

Nagovitsyna’s husband Sergei Nagovitsyn went to Khan-Tengri during an expedition, another of the five snow leopard peaks. Natalia had nothing to do with him during the climb. Reports said she refused to leave him until rescuers arrived.

Laura Sharman of CNN contributed the report.
