Ifixit tear off the iPhone 16e and now has a repairable USB-C charging port

For a long time, Apple didn’t have to pay a lot of money to fix iPhones. But given the recent right to fix laws in laws like Colorado and Oregon, the new iPhone is easier to repair without stepping into the Apple Store. The shift includes Apple’s latest product, The iPhone 16e, which debuted last month. It’s from ifixit Thanks to features like the new repair guide for the USB-C port and its easy-to-release battery adhesive.

Charging port repair guides are important, and even other iPhone 16s are not available. However, this is not to say that it is an easy process. First, you have to remove the rear glass, selfie camera, top headphone speakers, battery, taptic engine, and the list goes on. You then have to lift the logic board to access the port change bit. So, it’s still a bit confusing, but at least you know now that you’re taking the right steps.

iPhone also offers the same battery adhesive as its iPhone 16 model. It replaces stretch-release adhesive that never worked as well as you would like it to be. This is also the first time that iPhone has owned Apple’s C1 modem after ten years of rumor development. ifixit drops the logic board to explore the C1 modem. The team even ran C1 through a CT scanner, which showed that there was no slight Qualcomm technology in the package.
