A strange new world There are two seasons left, which means it’s not too late to fix it. So I put together this handy, easy-to-use guide to fix the show and bring it into a crescent with realization potential.

Step 1: Shrink ensemble

Captain Parker (Anson Mount) is the lead in the series, but his screening time is getting more and more limited. No. 1 (Rebecca Romijn) barely played in the show, Sam Kirk (Dan Jeannotte) was a blast line, and Ortegas (Melissa Navia) didn’t have more than one line in the entire episode.
Instead, we spend time with Erica’s younger brother (Mynor Luken), who just appeared and is now in every plot. Captain Parker’s girlfriend Captain Melanie Scrofano now appears to live on the ship. Oh, look, now James Kirk (Paul Wesley) is here again. Hey, let’s add a new chief engineer! Now, let’s make Scotty (Martin Quinn) the assistant to the chief engineer! What about the second helmsman named Mitchell (Rong Fu)? Let’s give her a character arc. Does Nurse Church (Jesse Bush) have a new boyfriend? Let’s add him to the cast, too.
It was stuffed, and the show’s storytelling abilities were met with the need to fit so many characters. Speaking of roles…
Step 2: Telling stories about ideas rather than characters
Star Trek: A Strange New World Has become a role-driven program. The script of the show revolves around people, and when the author runs out of ideas, they just add more people. This may be why the actors are so out of control.
The bigger problem is that Star Trek is not a character-driven franchise. It should be about the idea. All of the most popular and iconic plots of the show are about big issues, deep understanding and the nature of our universe and people.
That’s always what makes Star Trek apart. That’s what makes it different from everything else. When your story is character-driven rather than idea-oriented, your show will be like any other random TV show.
I don’t need to know every detail of the history of the nurse church and personal life. I can get it on any random soap opera. The original series tells us little about the main characters of the show. What we know about them is a function of what happens along the way as part of their adventure. What I know about Deanna Troi is that she loves chocolate and once dated Will Riker. This is better.

The subsequent Star Trek series and movies follow this formula. They try to run into a middle ground, where they tell a relaxed moment, telling a serious story.
Star Trek: A Strange New World Throw all of this out the window. The show has only ten episodes in a season, five of which are spent on joke plots, satirical re-creation, puppet pantomime and a full-blown musical. It’s like watching a high school drama club on a Starship.
Cut out. If you want to do a lot of stupid episodes, you need to add the overall episode. If you want to do five episodes that are just kidding, you need 24 episodes per season. If you only do ten, you get a joke. There is only one. Not just self-indulgence.
A strange new world There should be an interest in ensuring that the cast becomes interesting and more interested in making sure the audience gets something out of it. This stopped shortly after the end of season one.
Step 5: Visit some planets, illuminate and build
About the strangest thing A strange new world It is that it no longer visits any planets. They stretch down and run within the building for a minute every once in a while, but that’s all.
The first season was full of exploration, and the second season had many scenes on the ground. But Season 3 refuses to do anything that can’t be filmed in front of LED walls, which mainly means boat interior decoration. Or, if they feel spending money, build an interior that looks like a noticeable green screen work.
New planets mean new suits and new alien makeup designs to be built. This is a lot of work. So on rare occasions, corporate crews do leave the boat instead of putting in elbow grease, but end up in dark, mostly empty environments where you don’t see much.
For example, in an episode where they should investigate ancient ruins, they spend all their time in a dark empty room with something blurry in the distance. That’s not fun.
This is in sharp contrast to the scene on the ship, which is bright and full of color and contrast. Initially, that bright and hopeful look was the power of the show, which was the power of their giving up.
Build some actual suits and stop relying on that damn LED wall. No matter how dim you are, it is not a deception to anyone.
Show us a weird sky and the alien sun, a huge stone temple where you can actually build pillars and structure your actors can interact with and rely on. At this point, I would settle for the paper and blocks of boulders.
I’m sure all of this has budget excuses, but it’s killing the show and I’m here to tell you how to fix it, not how to afford it.
Step 6: Put forward your own ideas
A strange new world It has become more and more unique. The first season had some original series callbacks, with some fresh stories. The second season tends to figure it out from someone else’s notebooks, and the third season has already tear up things for five consecutive episodes. Now, the show feels like outsourcing all script writing to Grok.
The first episode of Season 3 is The next generation “The best of both worlds.” The second introduced Train from the original series. The third one is the Haki Zombie plot. The fourth is the budget holodeck episode borrowed from it The next generation Dickson Hill Adventure. The fifth is the simulation of the movie Event vision There’s a little The next generation The plot “conspiracy” is mixed together.
The show is known as the Strange New World. The new reason is the reason it exists. Do something new. Something fresh. That’s all you think. adventure.
It’s not too late to save a strange new world
Theoretically speaking A strange new world It was completed after Season 5. But Trek’s parent company Paramount recently completed the Skydance acquisition and their new owners are reevaluating everything.
if A strange new world Entering season five has high ratings and strong support from fans, it may be in the future beyond season 5. But now, the show is developing. Not only will it end, but future fans will ignore and forget it, rather than past trek products.
