Monegasque-French Duo ranks 9th in PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams rankings

Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin recovered from the heartache of 2025 BN at the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships in Japan on Tuesday afternoon.

The second seed overturned Rohan Bopanna and Takeru Yuzuki 7-5, 7-5 in the final, winning the first championship of the season in the ATP 500 season. “Rohan, we won the championship here 12 years ago, so it’s a pleasure to be with you in court again,” Roger-Vasselin told Bopanna. “You’ve been around for a few years… It’s always a pleasure to see you. You’ve always been an important part of my life.”

With his championship match in Tokyo, the 45-year-old Bopanna became the second-largest men’s doubles finalist in the Open era. In their second game, he and his partner Yuzuki saved three games on their way to defeat Harrison and King in the semi-finals.
