Images show damage to Gaza in ruins rather than Myanmar earthquake
After a huge earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, social media posts mistakenly claimed images of a destroyed town showed the consequences of the tremor. These photos were actually taken in the Gaza Strip after Israeli troops were withdrawn in early 2025 Ceasefire.

However, looking for the reverse image of the first photo in the post resulted in a Tiktok video shared by users in Gaza on February 20. The clip shows the same destruction architecture (Archive link).

The fight in January ceased, causing Hamas’ unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 to spark more than 15 months of war.
