For the world’s top tech and media tycoons, there’s only one place in the week after July 4: Sun Valley, Idaho. The quiet resort town hosts its annual Allen and Company meeting, often referred to as the “Billionaire Summer Camp” for more than four decades.
This year’s gathering begins today (July 8), with as many as 175 private jets expected to land at nearby Friedman Memorial Airport. In the next few days, leaders in technology, media and finance will convene closed-door lectures and conferences known for their confidentiality and frequent transactions.
