– Process data at light speed:
AI gets your swing data, club head speed, ball speed, launch angle, rotation speed, crushing factor and more. Then, process it with thousands (sometimes millions) of shots stored in its database. It knows which combinations work for players like you and can discover patterns and outliers faster than anyone else.
– Recommend clubs according to trends:
Instead of trying to experiment with each club’s experimentation method in the store, AI can narrow down your options. It might say, “Hey, players with swing speed and rhythm tend to perform as best as low-type rotary drivers and intermediate launch axes.” This can save a lot of time and guesswork. Not to mention that all these swings can keep your back from avoiding.
– Intelligent optimization:
Some advanced fitting systems use AI to simulate thousands of potential settings. AI models can make suggestions for axis bends, lie angles, lofts, head models, grip sizes. Then, rank them based on how they might work with your swing. This means you may get advice you never considered, but will actually be better than what you think you need.
In a world of brand agnosticism where manufacturers don’t influence your decisions, AI can narrow down thousands of combinations to the first few competitors.

AI’s reasons fit
- AI can’t feel how you feel: AI doesn’t know if the club feels “Clicky” or “solid”. The sound, feeling and aesthetics are personal, and AI doesn’t wield the club.
- Depend on data input: garbage, garbage output. If your swing is inconsistent during installation, the AI may miss fire.
- It’s still a tool, not a master: AI can recommend it, but can’t see you. It doesn’t know your posture, your body language, or you’re tired from hitting 40 drivers trying to impress your partner.

So, is AI a future for golf clubs to fit? Absolutely. But this is not the only future. Think of it as a super clever assistant. A person who will never be tired or distracted, but still needs a skilled person to explain, translate and connect it to the right golfer.
Because no matter how advanced the AI model is, it still can’t determine whether you hate the sound of the titanium driver’s head. When you know the club is just right and jump out of the page, you don’t feel instant “clicks”.
