It is reported that Openai is ready to launch GPT-4.1

According to a report from The Verge on Friday, Openai is preparing to launch a full version of GPT-4.1 and its O3 inference model.
GPT-4.1 will be launched with the smaller GPT-4.1 Mini and Nano versions. The updated model should be the multi-modal GPT-4O version released last year. The edge also points to posts on social media site X written by Tibor Blaho, AI engineer at AIPRM. Blago found that GPT-4.1 was mentioned on the OpenAI API platform. After Verge published the article, Blaho also discovered a reference to GPT-4.1 on the OpenAI API platform.
I’m still thinking about the article from yesterday’s Edge, mentioning “GPT-4.1” because I haven’t mentioned it anywhere else yet
But here is an undeniable confirmation – the model art of the model pages on the OpenAI API platform has been prepared for O3, O4 – Mini and… pic.twitter.com/jz95qsmntp– Tibor Blaho (@btibor91) April 11, 2025
Blaho earlier found a referral for “O4-Mini” in Chatgpt’s web code, indicating that more AI models are coming.

Openai did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
As the AI competition continues, Openai has repeatedly made headlines as it can bring more powerful models to more and more users. Last month, Openai introduced image generation in Chatgpt-4O, which impressed with accuracy and realism. The feature became so popular that OpenAI had to set a rate limit after CEO Sam Altman released “Our GPU is melting.” Earlier this week, OpenAI improved Chatgpt’s memory capabilities, so it can better review information from past conversations. This is also Google is also pushing for AI space with more products, including a powerful and efficient new AI chip called Ironwood. The company launched the “almost unlimited” coding assistant earlier this year and is currently launching VEO 2, a new generator tool that competes with Openai’s Sora.
While OpenAI is not profitable and is actually trying to reorganize itself from a nonprofit to a for-profit, it is currently worth $300 billion. Even though Chatgpt is far from Google, it was the most downloaded app in the app store last month.
