It’s impossible for them to choose a worse time to announce the stands movie

Stephen King is my favorite writer. Being a fan of his work and a huge movie fool has been a very good time as King’s Story keeps getting studio features adaptations.
This year looks like an absolute outstanding performance of his film work. My favorite movie this year by far is Osgood Perkins monkeya crazy explanation of Kim’s short story of the same name. We also shoot a movie in 2025 based on my always-favorite King novel (two books written under his pseudonym Richard Bachman), A long walk and Running man.
And if the trailers for these movies are honest expressions of their final products, it will be a year for banners for the ongoing readers in the United States.
That’s why the new movie adaptation was announced Booth Arguably the stupidest and most shimmering Stephen King movie news ever.
Moon, spelling stupidly

Doug Liman is revealed as director of Stephen King’s new studio film adaptation of epic and landmark novel Booth. When it was announced recently, it immediately came to me why it was a bad idea rather than a good idea.
First, make Booth Entering the movie, immediately raising red flags for fans. This story is a huge epic that takes a lot of time to tell its story. Trying to condense and draw most of the novel’s character work into a feature film length format is a difficult and inherent flawed effort. Even though they split the movie into two parts (which I expected), it’s just a wrong format for the story, which relies heavily on a lot of in-depth character interactions over a long period of time.
Not to mention Doug Liman’s involvement is also questionable in terms of potential quality. Not that Lima is an inevitable bad or boring director, but I’m going to argue that he’s past his peak. His last one is worth a try more than ten years ago The edge of tomorrowThe direction is not what makes this flick a pleasing worship. I think everyone throws it together Walking in chaos and Road House Entering a memory hole, I can’t object.
Let the new kids play
look, Booth It is an amazing story, of course worth adapting and can be fair. Admittedly, the 1994 miniseries may not have aged well, but it is totally commendable for doing everything possible to make a faithful adaptation. Although we seem to have (and correctly) abandoned the 2020 limited edition series, it looks like it is Booth The movie apple has taken a few bites.
For Kings fans, part of the reason why this year is so exciting is seeing stories that haven’t been properly shaken before. A long walk It’s a movie that has been trying to make for decades. monkey It’s a short story that has never been seen on the screen before (no, I don’t admit it The Devil’s Gift/Merlin’s Mysterious Miracle Store). Yes, Running man Being made into Arnold’s vehicle, I like its Lunkhead charm brand, but it’s very far from the actual story of the novel. Edgar Wright’s film gives the Bachman novel, and its first photo is correctly represented and translated into a movie.
Drop the bomb “We are doing it BoothAnd… again! “There are so many fresh Stephen King adaptations in the year without reading the room. The girl who loves Tom Gordon? ecstatic! Lycra announces a freeze-frame feature Dragon’s eyes? Stup! There are still so many king stories that don’t go to the screen, so get another riff Booth It is the betrayal of those potential projects.
Make your own position

If Doug Liman Booth It finally happened and I sincerely hope I was wrong about it. I hope this is by far the best adaptation suffering look like Lawn Mower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace. I won’t pin my hopes on my part, but I will allow it to be the third impromptu worthy of the book.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but Booth Actually, I think one of the best stories in the original medium is best at home. I think this is obviously not a movie. Not that it is impossible, but the best yarn through the written words on the page.
They want to do Booth No matter what I wrote on the internet, so I can only pray that it is fun. But I’ll refresh the news here to see if I can expect a Stephen King movie I’ve never seen before.
