Brittany Snow recalls feeling ‘distraught’ after ‘Wife Hunt’ scene cut

Brittany Snow Admitted she was “really frustrated” hunting wife Scenes involving her character were cut.
Snow, 39, told the Tuesday, Oct. 28 episode of the Not Skinny Not Fat podcast that the deleted scenes gave viewers more background information on Sophie O’Neill, who she plays in the Netflix series about a murder investigation in Texas.
“I’m not in it [the show] It’s like… a lot of parts of me were cut out,” she began detailing the missing scenes. “There’s a scene hunting wife I was really upset about being cut because it would explain why I acted so strangely on the show. I read a scene in episode 8 where she [Sophie] Complete panic attack, breakdown…she started hitting herself, banging her hands on the steering wheel, crying and screaming. “
Snow continued, “Then she just fell into stoicism and became completely empty and got out of the car. I remember thinking, ‘Oh, this is how she reacts to problems, she’s so used to being a mother and a woman and just breaking down in the car.'” So, I thought, ‘Okay, this is how I’m going to play her character.’ ‘”
She concluded: “When you take that scene out, it looks like I totally…” before the laughter trailed off. “I love that scene. What I care about is [Sophie] I wanted to incorporate coping mechanisms into the character. “
Snow, whose character moved to the fictional town of Maple Creek where she befriended a group of wealthy socialites, noted in interviews that she understood why some scenes were ultimately omitted before the series was finalized.
“I know that’s because I’m an isolated story [and] “It really needs to be about the actual case and what happened,” Snow said, reiterating how much she enjoyed working on the show. “I’m just so grateful to be a part of it. I mean, really, it’s a show that I watch, so that’s always a sign of what I want to do.”
Snow added that she expressed her concerns about the cutscenes to the show’s creators and writers, Rebecca Carterhe assured her that the decision was made after careful consideration. “They said the episode was too long. But they assured me that in season two, it would make more sense,” Snow told the hosts Amanda Hirsch. (It was revealed in Season 1 that Sophie had a history of drunk driving, including a fatal accident, before moving to Texas with her husband and son.)
During the podcast, Snow also expressed his gratitude to his co-stars Malin Akerman She said he made her feel comfortable while filming their sex scenes. “Marin and I always ask, ‘Are you okay? Can I put my hand here?’ It’s just so cool and so different,” Snow revealed. “We ate too many mints. I ate a whole bucket of them. That was a joy, too. She was like, ‘Girl, I don’t care.'”
inspired by Mae CobbThe book of the same name, hunting wives The eight-episode first season premiered in July. The show was originally filmed for Starz before Lionsgate acquired the rights (Netflix also licensed the show in the U.S. for one year). The change of hands has resulted in more NSFW sex scenes than the show’s stars originally anticipated — and they don’t mind at all.
“It is very unfortunate that it is very rare to see women [having sex on screen at 40]. There’s a stigma in Hollywood that once you hit 40, you’re no longer viewed as a sexual being, and that’s completely wrong,” Snow said in an interview. “I love that our show brings a new perspective to that. When you’re 40, you don’t stop having sex. “
