Israeli Super Orthodox Church visits Lebanon’s cemetery

Media reports said that Israeli troops are now accompanying hundreds to the same location after a group of about 20 ultra-orthodox Israelis recently entered Lebanese territory to unauthorized access to religious cemeteries.

According to the Times of Israel, the Israeli army and the super-Orthodox Church have reached an agreement so that devout Jews can pray on the spot.

The tomb is believed to be a 4th-century Jewish scholar, located on the so-called Blue Line (the international border between Israel and Lebanon).

According to the Times of Israel, the burial site is located between the Israeli army and the base of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Lebanese military criticized the Israeli military for deliberately bringing Israeli residents into Lebanese territory on Platform X.

It spoke of a “blatant violation of Lebanon’s national sovereignty” and a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Lebanese militia Hezbollah.

In recent weeks, the Ultra Orthodox people have repeatedly entered Lebanese territory with their own initiatives to reach the grave. According to Israeli police, several people were detained.

The Israeli era also reported conflicts with the Israeli army. In the past, the grave was visited by the army.

According to police, illegally crossing the Lebanese border was sentenced to four years in jail in Israel.
