Kimberly McCullough’s Life After General Hospital: Where is she now?

Kimberly McCullough There is no normal childhood.
The former child star was found in a worn battle when she was 5 years old and played a small role in the movie Breakin’2: Electric Boogaloo. Two years later, she beat Shiri Appleby Playing Robin’s role General Hospital.
In more than 1,200 episodes, McCullough, 47, grew up in Port Charles and won the Emmy Awards during the day, spin-off opportunities and more, experiencing Hollywood glitz and glamour.
But in 2012, McCullough left the soap opera to pursue her another directorial passion.
“I remember being so supportive,” she shared in 2021’s “Dishing with Digest” podcast. “I remember everyone on the show saying, ‘It’s hard for us to see you go, but you need to go.’ It’s almost like graduating from college and hoping to make my parents proud.
McCullough remembers right since she was a kid Ron Howard And dream of becoming a director.

“Recently, I have guided Fantasy Island In Puerto Rico, McCullough recalls in the August 2021 episode of “Mentality with Morris Bernard” podcast. “I’m definitely Latino, this is the first time I’ve been surrounded by brown people and brown crew.”
She continued: “I feel that in some way, I’m back to my roots, my original dreams, and want myself.”
To be clear, McCullough is still grateful for her memories and friendship General Hospital. But when asked if she missed the show, the director said she had gone on to do other things.

Courtesy of Kimberly McCullough / Instagram“I just said it was a moment in my life and I wouldn’t be who I am,” she said in the December 2024 episode of “The Locher Room.” podcast. “I feel like I’ve just transitioned to another part of myself, where I can expand a little more. But I miss people and awesome storylines.”

Her Instagram is filled with photos of her garden, or great time spent with dogs and sons, whose faces are often hidden.
She joked: “Being a boy mom means I do realize my potential as a human being.” Instagram In May 2025. “Happy Mother’s Day, I wish everyone who celebrates it.”
Although she has moved from her General Hospital McCullough still appreciates her soap opera role for a few days.
“Now that I’ve left Robin, I think now I can finally really appreciate how important I am, she’s me,” she shared on the “Locher Room” podcast. “I think it’s more obvious because no one else plays my role. Of course, it can always happen, but I’m the only one who has ever played Robin.”
