Leaf Golf eliminates Bayer, complements the team finale game

The LIV Golf League is changing the format of its season-ending team championships that will eliminate first-round BYES for the No. 1 seed and add matches to the two lowest seeds.
The changes will be held in this season’s Team Championship, which is scheduled to be held at St. John’s Resort in Plymouth, Michigan from August 22-24.
“I think you’ll see some teams being knocked out, you probably won’t expect,” said Cameron Smith, captain of the Ripper GC, whose team won last year’s team title.
Teams ranked 12th and 13th in the standings will play in the game after the LIV Golf Championship in Westfield, Indiana from August 15 to 17.
The team with two points won the game and reached the quarterfinals. The failed squad was eliminated.
Each golfer on the remaining 12 teams will be on the game on Friday and Saturday, as well as Sunday’s stroke finale.
“There’s more pressure,” said Bryson Deschampburg, captain of Meat Smash GC. “Every day is important.”
