Leaked email shows Bill Belichick’s CBS interview radiation

Still, according to a Wral News obtained through the same public record request, Belichick reportedly worried about the fight back from the virus moment, allegedly texting: “I don’t want to do something wrong here.”

Belichick also reportedly dismissed a request for CBS to conduct a now-conducted interview on UNC campus.

“I refused because UNC is not part of the book,” Belichick reportedly wrote in an email. Instead, the interview was conducted at the former high school in Belichick, Annapolis, Maryland.

Berichick also reportedly complained about the questions he raised in the interview, and wrote in an email that the reporter deviated from the agreement he claimed about which subjects it was allegedly forbidden.

“In about 35 minutes, Tony asked questions about the book,” Belichick reportedly. “These questions then moved to other topics that were not related to the art of winning, and we outlined the restrictions with my book PR staff.”

On April 30, Belichik issued a statement claiming that any interview he attended would focus on his books and his books.

“I clearly communicated with the public relations staff at Simon & Schuster and any promotional interviews I attended would agree to focus only on the competition for this book,” he said in a statement at the time.
The same day, CBS issued its own statement denied the coach’s claims.

“It was an extensive interview when we agreed to talk to Mr. Belichick,” a CBS press spokesman said at the time. “There was no prerequisite or limitation of this conversation. His publisher repeatedly confirmed this before and after the interview was completed.”
