Lee Trevino makes a joke for Rory McIlroy

Lee Trevino said he knew what Rory McIlroy might hear after the driver’s compliance test failed.
He also knows what he will say in his response.
Trevino’s comments are made through the story of Rick Broadbent era – Can (and should) read all over here – They followed the news that McIlroy’s driver didn’t pass its compliance test at the PGA Championship. Apart from the story, McIlroy refused to talk to reporters in four rounds of Quail How.
In the Broadbent story, Trevino said he knew any potential frustration with McIlroy about the matter.
The six-time major champion said: “He’s going to the tee and these guys are full of buds and they say, ‘Roly, is this driver legal?’
“You don’t need that.”
However, Trevino made a joke McIlroy.
“I’ve said, ‘I want to be number one, if I can buy five or six more illegal clubs in this bag, I’ll try it.”
In Broadbent’s story, Trevino compares Scottie Scheffler to Arnold Palmer.
“His father is looking for a club and I am a member of the Royal Oak,” Trevino said of Schefler. “Teaching professional, I have a good friend Randy Smith [who’s still Scheffler’s coach]. We advocate getting inside the ball, and Scottie does better than anyone else as his right foot moves backwards. That’s why he didn’t pull a lot. He approached the ball.
“He always has something. Summer is the burner here, and the kids wear shorts, but Scottie always comes out with a pair of casual pants. He’ll say, ‘I’ll be a professional player one day and the professionals don’t wear shorts.’ The best guy.
