Letestu appoints Hawks head coach | theahl.com

Colorado Avalanche Hired Mark Letest As the head coach of the Colorado Hawks, the team’s American Hockey League branch.

Letestu, 40, served as an assistant coach for the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters over the past four seasons, helping the club win the Northern Division title in 2023-24 and compete in the finals that spring.

Letestu has a 13-year career, including 567 games in the National Hockey League skating competitions in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Signed by Western Michigan University, Letestu made its debut with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2007 and played 255 AHL games with the Penguins and Monsters, with a total of 72 goals and 112 assists and 184 points.
