Lewis Capaldi After two years of rest, he won the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, June 28.
“Glastonbury, it’s great to be back,” Capaldi, 28, told fans in his surprise. “I won’t say much here today because, if I do, I might start crying.”
“The One You Love” is out of the spotlight after a disappointing performance in Glastonbury in the summer of 2023. Capaldi suffered from sound problems on the festival stage, attributed to his diagnosis of neurological disorders, Tourette syndrome at the time.
Capaldi told fans during a scene on the pyramid stage on Saturday that he “really, really missed” to perform for them during his time.
“Sometimes it’s hard [thinking] He admitted that maybe this would never happen again. Really, from my heart, it means everyone is here. ”
Then he declared, “My name is Lewis Capaldi, I’m back, baby!”
The singing composer performed seven songs, including his UK charts, “You Loved One,” “Grace,” and “Before Going.”
In September 2022, Capaldi confirmed that he had recently been diagnosed with Tourette. (According to the Mayo Clinic, Tourette Syndrome is “a disease involving repeated movements or uncontrollable sounds (tics).”)
