Lil Nas X arrested for roaming Los Angeles streets in his underwear and was hospitalized for reported overdose
Lil Nas X reportedly had been overdose after attacking a police officer.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a naked man walking along Ventura Boulevard in the studio city around 6 a.m. Thursday. Although LAPD did not confirm the identity of the “Old Town” rapper, TMZ released a video where he roamed the same street early that morning. The video shows Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, who speaks incoherently with the person who recorded the video on his phone.
A man accused of assault was reportedly “naked in the street” and then went on to “strike officer, so he was booked [peace officer]A LAPD spokesperson told people.
TMZ also reported that officers told health care workers that the rapper had suffered an overdose before being taken to a nearby hospital. CNN also confirmed the arrest of LAPD.
“After arriving, the suspect was prosecuted and detained,” public information official Charles Miller told CNN.
Lil Nas X’s representative did not immediately respond to Yahoo’s request for comment.
The 26-year-old made numerous Instagram posts before the incident. On Wednesday, the rapper posted selfies in the mirror, along with photos of his property and art. These posts feature music and appear to be unreleased Lil Nas X songs.
