Luka Doncic’s offseason turn is turning, and an NBA scout said Doncic looks like a completely different player.
“Man, he looks incredible,” the Boy Scout told dallashoopsjournal.com. “He’s faster and more explosive. He’s more easily caught. I think he’s on a mission, man.”
The Scouts believe Don Sici’s mission is to win the league MVP award next season.
“I think he’s going to win the MVP and score championship next season,” the scout said. “He wants to take revenge on Dallas because he’s basically going to cheat on him.”
According to Men’s Health, the 26-year-old reportedly lost weight after adopting a gluten-free, low-sugar diet and intermittent fasting program.
The method is designed to reduce inflammation and improve recovery, and the results are certainly shown.
Doncic scored 19 points and 5 assists against Germany in just 24 minutes, but the buzz was more about his speed and improvement in conditioning.
The timing couldn’t be better for the Lakers, who switched him in February after Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison reported his concerns about diet, weight, work ethics and regulation.
Now, the focus has changed. Doncic signed a three-year, $165 million extension with Los Angeles on August 2 and will hold the championship. He still scored 30.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.8 assists in the playoffs last year, and his own admission was dissatisfied.
If these are his numbers before his transformation, Lakers fans may do something special when the new season is launched.
