Police are investigating a violence in Montebello that killed a boy and a boy and injured a woman and a girl in an apartment building Thursday morning, according to multiple news reports.
According to CBS News, the Montebello Police Department responded to a residence on Lohart Avenue around 2:30 a.m. and found the bodies of a man and a boy in the apartment building.
NBC4 reports that the man’s body was found outside by police and they are scrubbing the property.
KABC reported that a wake-up neighbor woke up to the lights and sounds of police officers, looking out her window and saw the body lying next to the axe on the ground. According to KTLA, the boy’s body was found in a unit inside the complex.
A woman and a girl were also found in the same department and were hospitalized after being injured in the head, the radio reported. Their conditions are not immediately available.
A neighbor told KTLA that his 20-year-old daughter called police around 2:30 after hearing the yell and that something metal hit outside their building.
Police told reporters at the scene that there were no outstanding suspects or ongoing threats to the community in the incident.
