Man steals a car with a child, police chases him and hits a car in Malibu

Officials confirmed a man was arrested after stealing a car in East Los Angeles after stealing three children in a police chase Friday night.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the car was a light-colored sedan that ran three kids inside a 7-Eleven on East Olympic Avenue. A stranger jumped into the idle car and took off at around 6:38 pm
The agency confirmed that the California Highway Patrol began chasing the car in a few minutes, heading west on Highway 10, Los Angeles.
The chase continued until about 7:34 pm when the sedan appeared to be a light-colored SUV in T-bone at the intersection of the Pacific Coast Expressway and Kanan Dume Road in Malibu.
After the crash, live video of the news helicopter showed that the suspect fled barefoot and took off a layer of clothes. The man ran to a residential area and entered a field before being arrested.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, four people at the scene were taken to the hospital and three were in helicopters and ambulances. The three were listed as mild to moderate injury, but the fourth person had no conditions.
It is not clear how serious the child’s serious injury is, but they were conscious and breathing after the caregiver removed them from the vehicle.
The suspect’s name was not released immediately.
