Man stranded on his front lawn through a huge container ship
A Norwegian man managed to strand his front lawn through a huge container ship.
TV2 Norway reports that Johan Helberg, who lives in Bainisset, was awakened by his neighbor Thursday morning.
As he looked out, he saw a 135-meter (443-foot) container ship parked in his front yard.

“If the ship hits the rock outcrop next to it, it will lift and hit the house hard. It only missed a few meters.”
His neighbor Jostein Jørgensen lives about 40 meters (131 feet) on the beach and told TV2 that he was awakened by the sound of a ship around 5 a.m.
He told the local TV network that he added: “When I looked out the window, I saw a boat sailing toward the shore.”

Jorgensen said the ship, NCL Salten, is getting closer and closer until about eight meters (26 feet) from the walls of his neighbor’s house.
“He fell asleep and was surprised to have a visitor,” Jorgensen told TV2.
The ship was reportedly tied to Orkanger at the southern end of the fjord and had 16 people when it was stranded.
NCL Shipping Managing Director Bente Hetland called it a “serious incident” and said the company was “thank you no one was injured.”
“At present, we do not know what caused the incident and are waiting for the end of the ongoing investigation by relevant authorities,” Hetland said in a statement. “We are currently assessing the damage to the ship.”
A tug was initially sent to try to pull the boat for free, but to no avail.
On Thursday night, a salvage company tried to re-install the ship at high tide, but later decided that it was impossible, the Norwegian coastal government said in a statement.
It said that geotechnical investigations are now needed and another attempt is made.
While there is no sign of oil leakage from the vessel, authorities say the backup robot’s backup vessel can respond if needed.
