Mariners sign Luke Jackson to sign minor contract

The sailor signed Luke Jackson According to the right-handed’s MLB.com profile page, a minor league deal will be reached on Thursday. Jackson (34 tomorrow) made his debut last night at Triple-A Tacoma, allowing two runs.

The Rangers signed Jackson as a one-year, 1.5mm free agent deal in February, and he added another $450,000 to his salary by meeting the threshold of inning-based incentives. Jackson was designated as a mission, then released in late July before quickly joining the Tigers’ other guaranteed deal. Before Jackson won the DFA again, Motown’s tenure lasted only three games and 4 1/3 innings, choosing to be a free agent rather than accepting the thorough task of the Tigers Tigers’ Triple-A branch.

If the sailor calls Jackson to the active roster, Seattle will owe him only the minimum wage, which will be subtracted from the remaining time in his original wage. Since Texas is still responsible for most of Jackson’s owed money, M is not at risk in adding the senior deep arm to the ranks.

As expected from three teams touring, it wasn’t a productive year for Jackson. Jackson shares 4.54 ERAs with Texas and Detroit, and in 39 2/3 innings, walking (24) is as much as strikeouts (28). Although Jackson was keeping the ball on the ground, the results were lacking due to Jackson’s usual success, as he had a ground ratio of 52.5% and a favorable .267 BABIP.

It’s been two years since Jackson lasted a productive MLB season as he also had a 5.09 ERA in 53 innings with the Giants and Braves in 2024. While walking is always a problem for Jackson, he is very strong in both the 2021 and 2023 seasons as both the 2023 seasons are very strong, and his writing is suffered due to TOMMY JOHN COMMY due to the 2022 campaign. If he can retake any of his old forms, Jackson could bring some playoff experience to a Mariners who hope to make some noise in October.
