Marlins hope to activate Eury Perez next week

Marlin program welcome Eury Pérez Christina de Nicola of MLB.com wrote that the injury list for the series against the Buccaneers will return next week. The 6’8″ Righty will make his first appearance since the 2023 rookie season. Perez underwent surgery by Tommy John last April and has now been removed from the operation for 14 months. Miami has a roster of 40 people and once he officially recovers, it will take action accordingly.
Pérez is the Marlins’ highest pitching prospect that summoned him in May 23. He brought a strong fourth-tier match with fastballs from the 90s in the Grand Slam at the age of 20. His high-level orders are equally impressive, as most young pitchers repeat their mechanics in his height struggle. Most evaluators view him as the highest rotation starter in the future.
His first view of Major League Baseball batsmen reinforces this optimism. Pérez earned an average of 3.15 in 19 games. His fastball sat within a 97-98 mph range, beating nearly 29% of his opponents at an 8.3% walk rate. He finished seventh in the Rookie of the Year vote, and he might have placed higher results if the Marlins didn’t pick him in a month of season. An elbow injury occurred during the following spring training and caused his losses throughout the year last year.
Pérez returned to the game action in late April to start the Low-A Jupiter’s rehabilitation mission. He played the abbreviation five times there before he jumped to Triple-A Jacksonville two weeks ago. He played three more games and played 82 goals tonight in 4 1/3 innings. He finished three innings with 2.13 ERA and 12 1/3 frames and struck out with 15. His fastball averages 97.8 miles per hour.
However, that’s not all the positives of Miami’s rotation. Max Meyer Landed on the 15-day IL with a left hip impact before losing to the Rockies tonight. Manager Clayton McCullough told reporters (including Sportsgrid’s Craig Mish) that the issue gave Meyer a few starts. The former third pick has been in trouble lately, running at least four times in six of the last seven games. He carried a 3.18 ERA with excellent 3-point shooting percentage, but since then he has earned more than 6 runs per nine. Meyer’s strikeout rate dropped below 15% during that time, with the opponent reaching .321.
Sandy Alcantara Receive the ball tonight Cal Quantrill The former team will be against Colorado in the series. Miami fell Thursday. Edward Cabrera,,,,, Ryan Weathers Line up with Alcantara in Tampa Bay weekend. Perez can return on Monday or follow Quantrill and catch the ball on Tuesday if the Marlins want to give him an extra day off after tonight’s recovery appearance.
