McDonald’s is riding the virus wave. The fast food chain’s Minecraft Happy Happy Happy Mouts and adult Minecraft meals raided the restaurant on April 1 and quickly sold out. Diners order happy meals these days will find a soft themed meal. But, the viral buzz about another McDonald’s online product. People eagerly await the return of snack parcels, a chicken entree that has been missing from the Golden Arches in the United States since 2020.

On April 15, McDonald’s tweeted “Snack Packaging 0x.14.2025” that the wrapping paper will return on the 14th of the next month. This makes it necessary for fans to check out their McDonald’s mobile app or local restaurant menus on the 14th of each month, hoping the package will appear. The package did not appear in restaurants on May 14, so now fans must check again in June and if the June date is not spread, check again in July.
At least one Reddit user seems to think McDonald’s snack packaging can return on July 14. “It’s July, I work for McDonald’s and they reveal the dates on the employee app,” one user wrote.
But another person posted: “Not July. I work for McDonald’s, I can confirm.”
None of these posts are confirmed.
Representatives at McDonald’s did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Snack wraps with fever
First released in 2006, the snack parcel was originally a kind of chicken that could attract customers on the express train. There are different versions, but the basic version includes white meat strips, called McChris pimps, wrapped in cheese in flour tortillas with ranch, honey mustard or salsa. McCrispy bars are a redesigned version of the chicken that was formerly known as the chicken choice.
Zach Ciampa regularly covers new food under Snach with Zach’s social media handle, and he says there is a strong fan base for you to use. “About McDonald’s snack packaging, this is the most requested item I’ve ever seen from listeners asking for or asking for back,” he told CNET. “Not only is the most requested in recent memory, but the most request ever. It’s not just McDonald’s.” Ciampa said the only similar fast foods close to the same interest were Dairy Queen’s S’mores Blizzard and Taco Bell’s Caramel Apple Empanda, both of which also received recent returns.
“I’ve been introducing food distributions for years, and at that time, I saw countless reviews, ‘We don’t want this. We want snack parcels,’, ‘Can you tell us when the snack packages are back?'” “A few years ago, the chances of returning were very bleak. But at the end of 2023, McDonald’s did announce that snack parcels would be back in new forms. Since then, details have slowly but surely been lost, and the hype has grown steadily.”
While snack parcels left McDonald’s locations in the US in 2020, they are still available in Canadian and British restaurants. The current online McDonald’s Canadian menu includes several tortilla-wrapped items, including crispy chicken, grilled chicken, buffalo chicken and chicken and sweet chili sauce.
