Media reports said the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy died in a traffic collision.

A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy was killed in a traffic collision in Victorville on Monday, according to multiple news reports.

According to the X post from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred at 11:09 a.m. at the intersection of Seneca and Elvado roads.

According to KNBC-TV, a sheriff’s SUV appeared to be torn apart by two people at the crash site, and the black sedan suffered front-end damage and airbags were deployed.

According to KTLA-TV, representatives involved in the crash were killed. The radio reported that there was a chase in the area before the crash.

Aerial videos at the scene showed that it appeared to be a body of an American flag covering the wreckage of the vehicle.

“However, we cannot confirm the extent to which the straight line in the area is causing it,” Gloria Orejel, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, told Victor Valley News Group.

Oregel said officials from Edison, Southern California, were helping along the way.

The officials who saw the scene hugged each other.

This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
