Memorandum, Goldman Sachs launches AI Assistant Assistant

(Reuters) – Goldman Sachs announced on Monday that it has firmly launched an AI-powered AI assistant, a tool powered by generative AI to increase productivity, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters.

A memo sent to staff by CIO Marco Argenti shows that about 10,000 employees of the bank are already using GS AI assistants.

With the official launch of AI tools across the company, Goldman Sachs joins a long list of large banks that have leveraged the technology to shape its operations in a targeted way and help employees complete their daily tasks.

Citigroup has AI tools like Citi Assist, which searches for internal banks’ policies and procedures as well as Citi stylus, which helps record summary and comparison.

Morgan Stanley has a chatbot that helps financial advisors interact with customers, while Erica, a virtual assistant at Bank of America, focuses on day-to-day transactions for retail customers.

According to an internal memorandum, GS AI Assistant will help Goldman employees “summarize complex documents and draft initial content to perform data analysis.”
