Miyu Yamashita wins first major championship in the Women’s Open

Porthcawl-Japan’s Miyu Yamashita won her first major title on Sunday, when she was in charge of Charley Hull until the women’s open championship result was no longer questioned because she did not spread taboos.
Yamashita ended the game with a 2-shot victory of 70, hitting two big par putts on the back nine of Royal Porthcawl, the last of Hull within one lead.
Hull started the last three rounds. She hit a 20-foot birdie putt on the 14th and shot with one shot.
However, the British star hit a t-shirt pot bunker on the 16th and did a great job. She had another bogey on the 17th and had to settle in 69 times tied for second with Minami Katsu of Japan.
Now, Japanese players have won four majors in women’s golf in the past nine majors. Mao Saigo won the No. 1 Major of the Year in the Chevron Championship.
