I nailed Tim Dierkes in this week’s MLBTR mailbag. We’ll solve the problem Jarren Duran and the priest, Alex BregmanSelect Exit status, Donovan Solano and Tyler Locklear In Seattle, Yoshida Masataka,,,,, Brendan Donovansome giants spin, angels’ bullpen and so on!
Ross asked:

As we discussed on the podcast this week, the Padres/Duran connection felt like he was getting more attention in his chance to really change hands (if we specialize in Zero Zero in Padres). This is not to say Duran has no trade opportunity, but Padres has obvious demand in the outfield and is a super offensive baseball operations leader in AJ Preller. Frankly, if they No Ask Duran.
That is, it’s worth a while. Duran had a boundary line in his MVP caliber season last year, winning the cheer and the Classics at 0.285/.342/.492. Baseball Reference estimates him at 8.7 wins, surpassing the substitute. We’ve seen players have smaller total wars, but Duran is an afterthought in the 2024 game, thanks to the fact that from Judge Aaron,,,,, Bobby Witt Jr. (To a lesser extent) Juan Soto.
Padres’ farm system was once a powerful figure, but it is now heavy and lacks depth. Shortstop Leo And the receiver Ethan Salas It’s one of the 25 best prospects for Major League Baseball (MLB), but there aren’t many other talent in Hopper. This makes it difficult to imagine for a variety of reasons.
