More than 50 people were injured in a bus accident in Barcelona
More than 50 people were injured in the collision between two tourist buses in Barcelona, officials said Monday.
According to authorities in the Catalan capital in northeast Spain, four people are in critical condition. They are said to have been taken to various hospitals in the city.
There was no information about the injured identity at first. Some people say that one of the pedestrians is only 17 years old.
El Salvador Region President Ira was injured in support of the Catalan government.
Authorities reported that the affected people included a group of young holidaymakers from Italy, aged 17 and 18, who lived in a hotel in Lolet de Mar, Catalonia and went to Barcelona on Monday.
According to witnesses, the Italian bus crashed into another bus on the diagonal, one of Barcelona’s main streets that parked on the side of the road and allowed cruise passengers to take cruise passengers.
Tourists are said to be from Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.
In the accident, the front bus turned to the sidewalk, with a tree and a street light stopped after being knocked down in the process.
The cause of the accident is still unknown. The police are said to have launched an investigation.
