Natick MA roofer pleaded guilty. This was decided by the judge

A federal judge in Boston has sentenced a Natick roofer to one year in federal prison after admitting tax evasion.
U.S. District Judge Brian E. Murphy also sentenced 42-year-old Jake Miller to one year of supervised release on Tuesday, August 12. Murphy also ordered Miller to pay $449,329 in damages.
Miller pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in February.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Miller owns the Costas roof, which he runs under the alias of Paul Kostas.
From 2013 to 2021, Miller deposited the money earned from his roofing business into a personal bank account, rather than a business account. Despite receiving at least $1.6 million, he did not file income taxes in those years.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office determined that Miller should pay nearly $450,000 in taxes due to unreported revenue.
