National Guard Deployment As ICE uses more and more combat tactics in U.S. cities

Republican and Democratic lawmakers have provided little public indication of meaningful negotiations to break the deadlock about the reopening of the federal government on the sixth day of the closure. President Donald Trump said federal workers have been fired and he is blaming Democrats. The possibility of layoffs escalates an already tense situation, and there is no common basis or mutual trust among Washington lawmakers. Leaders on both sides bet that public sentiment has been waving, putting pressure on the other end.

Meanwhile, a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying any National Guard units to Oregon late Sunday after the law whirlwind began hours after the president mobilized California forces to Portland. The same judge stopped him from using the Oregon National Guard the day before. Trump also deployed 300 National Guards to Chicago as federal immigration agents adopt more and more tactics in the city.
