NBA sets Grizzlies and Magic Games in London and Berlin

The NBA will take another step to announce six regular season games overseas over the next three years. The run began in January with the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic facing each other in Berlin and London.

“From January, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic will play two games to Berlin (January 15) and London (January 18),” the league said in the announcement.

For Germany, this will mark history.

“The Berlin Games will be the first time in Germany during the regular season, as the country has held 14 preseason games before,” Yahoo Sports said.

It also offers magic stars Franz and Moritz Wagner the opportunity to return home in front of local fans.

London has become a familiar stop for the league, hosting nine preseason games and 10 regular season games, while Manchester only competed in one preseason matchup in 2013.

Paris has been hosting five regular season games in recent years, with the most recent games between the San Antonio Spurs and the Indiana Pacers last January.

In the coming years, 2025-26 slates in Berlin and London will be after additional stops in Europe. The league confirmed: “Future matches will be held in Manchester, the UK and Paris during the 2026-27 regular season, and then in Berlin and Paris in the 2027-28 season.”

The tour also adds two franchise history. When Memphis and Orlando arrive, it will be the fourth and fifth, fifth and sixth time Magic has played in Europe.

The full 2025-26 timetable is expected to be released in August, while the NBA will announce games for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 European games later.
