Tony and his then-wife, Diana McCallisterwho previously starred in the A&E show Neighbors have benefits. The documentary series, which followed their swinger lifestyle, was canceled in 2015 after two episodes due to backlash from viewers.
“We do this for a reason. We want our stories to be told,” Diana, who shares three children with Tony, told Cincinnati’s Fox affiliate in May 2015 about joining the reality show. “That’s the way we swing. We just want to show one side of ourselves because we do feel like we’re happy. We have a good life. We want to show another side. We’re still human beings and leave behind all the negative images that people think of when they swing the golf club.”
She continued at the time, “There are definitely ups and downs. Definitely more difficult times. Arguments and disagreements. It brings passion to your marriage. There are no boundaries. We don’t know what we’re going to do tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or the day after that.”

“For us to define marriage in our own way is not going to hurt your marriage. It’s not going to devalue your marriage. It’s not going to have any impact on your marriage,” he explained at the time. “Be happy with your marriage. We are happy with our marriage. This lifestyle is not for everyone.”
Tony adds, “You’re not going to force your spouse to do this and have things end well. There’s a lot of negative things that can come out of that, but if you communicate openly and honestly in an open and honest way, it can be a very positive thing.”
in the pilot episode neighbor with benefitsTony further emphasized that their lifestyle is not for every couple.
“What we do is not for everyone, and I agree with that,” Tony said in a video discussing his marital arrangement with a friend. “The relationship wasn’t working and the divorce rate was high. I think it’s always hard to explain when it comes to our children [because] I don’t necessarily want them to get this. “
