On Friday, Nelly Korda shared an exciting life update: The 15-time LPGA champion is engaged. She posted the news on Instagram with the caption, “In this life…and the next,” along with a ring emoji and a photo of Koda and fiancé Casey Gunderson.
Shortly after posting the announcement on social media, Korda’s comments were flooded with congratulatory messages from some of the biggest names in golf and sports, including Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, Justin Rose, Kaitlyn Clark, LeBron James and more.
Korda’s sister, six-time LPGA Tour winner Jessica Korda, also jokingly chimed in: “Sorry, kids, she’s off the market.”
The engagement is an important way to round out Korda’s 2025 season. Although she failed to win this year, she completed one of the most consistent seasons on the LPGA Tour without missing a single cut. She finished in the top 10 nine times, including seven in the top five, and finished third at the CME Team Tour Championship.
While Korda fell short of a victory in 2025, she noted that the winless campaign highlighted the importance of having a close group of people around you who you can rely on when things don’t go your way.
“I would say when you’re at the top of your game, you get a lot more criticism and you have a tight circle and you really appreciate the people around you,” Korda said. “The circle has definitely gotten smaller, but I think I have an amazing circle. I would say I’m very, very lucky for the people that I surround myself with. At the end of the day, the life that we live and perform in front of people, it’s very important to have that stability in our lives.”
With a solid performance and personal milestones to celebrate, Korda ended 2025 on a high note – both on and off the field. Fans and fellow athletes alike will be watching eagerly as she begins an exciting new chapter in her life and career.
