11:40 am ET

One of the highest prospects for the AHL is entering the St. Louis Blues.

After two seasons with the Laval Rockets, the Montreal Canadiens sent defender Logan Mailloux to the Blues, forward Zack Bolduc.

The 22-year-old Mailloux led the Laval defense 12-21-33 in 63 games, while also playing seven games with Montreal. In addition to offensive work, Mailloux also provides Laval with a savage physical condition and is named the 2024-25 AHL Top Prospect Team. In 2023-24, he entered the AHL All-Rookie team with a score of 14-33-47.

Mailloux should have a solid opportunity to compete with the Blues for the roster in training camp, especially with Ryan Suter’s future uncertainty. If not, he will be with their AHL branch, Springfield Thunderbirds, and become the highest recall option in the NHL.
