No. 2 overall pick Misa joins Barracuda | TheAHL.com

San Jose Sharks designated forward Michael Misa Loaned to the San Jose Barracudas of the AHL.

The 18-year-old Misa is the second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. He had one goal and two assists in seven games with the Sharks before suffering an injury on Nov. 5.

Misa led the Ontario Hockey League with 134 points (62 goals, 72 assists) in 65 games with Saginaw last season. He won the Red Tilson Trophy for the OHL’s most outstanding player, the Eddie Bowles Trophy for the top scorer, and the Bobby Smith Trophy for the best academic player.

Misa is the 2022-23 OHL Rookie of the Year and helped Saginaw win the 2023-24 Memorial Cup. In 177 career youth games, he scored 113 goals, contributed 152 assists and scored 265 points.
